The XI Hand Surgery refresher course 'Frontiers in Hand and Upper Limb Reconstruction' will take place at Palacio de la Magdalena, Santander. This building, located on the same name peninsula, used to be summer residence of the Spanish Royal Family. Since its reversion to the city of Santander, in the late 70’s, its facilities and the rest of the Royal Site have become privileged setting for conferences, meetings and top-level international summits. Moreover, Palacio de la Magdalena hosts the academic activities of the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, every summer.

Palacio de la Magdalena, of an eclectic style, was built between 1910 and 1912 and the project was provided by Cantabrian architects Javier González Riancho and Gonzalo Bringas Vega.
